NOS OBJECTIFS
Our goals
Gérond'if aims to federate in a collaborative way the actors intervening in the field of geriatrics and gerontology, in order to energize fundamental research in biology of aging and longevity, transactional research as well as innovation, their industrial development and training in all areas relating to the health and support of the elderly, the prevention of the consequences of aging and the maintenance of autonomy.
Gérond'if accompanies the evolution of professions in old age.
It promotes and values the development of skills.
It facilitates the transfer of research to industrial innovation, particularly to gerontotechnology.
Gérond'if contributes to the evaluation of the themes presented in the law "Adaptation of health to aging (ASV)":
Actions of prevention or care for the elderly.
Training actions for professionals.
Technical aids for the elderly.
For each project, he ensures compliance with the ethical values of benevolence, fairness and respect for the dignity and autonomy of seniors.
Through its action, it contributes to promoting a positive image of old age.
It contributes to the implementation of public policy orientations (related to old age) in the fields of health, medico-social as well as research and economic development and employment.

Our ambition
Our ambition is to constitute a regional center for the promotion of excellence and innovation in geriatrics and gerontology.
To do this, Gérond'if brings together stakeholders in aging in a collaborative manner in order to boost research, innovation, industrial development and training in this field.

Accelerate the transition from research to industry and to practical applications for professionals and seniors
To develop the scientific evaluation of innovations (clinical, medico-economic and from the point of view of uses) by implementing " evidence-based (based on evidence)
To develop large-scale scientific studies by setting up and using cohorts and large databases, as well as by identifying and coordinating multiple experimental sites (health, medico-social, home, etc.)
