Gérond'if promotes ethical reflection on all of its projects with, if necessary, an ethical approval process.

Gérond'if is carrying out the project to design a system and a support kit for the elderly in institutions.

The Gérond'if ethical group aims to provide elderly people in medico-social institutions who are fragile, isolated, ill or in psychological distress, with voluntary support.

To do this, the ethics group is developing a volunteer support kit which includes the following sections  :

  • Missions favoring charity

  • Missions to better respect the autonomy of the person

  • Missions to privilege “  living it together  »
     

• The positioning of the volunteer in relation to other stakeholders
   

• Subsidiary questions that we should collectively answer

  • The limits of volunteer intervention

  • Volunteer training

  • The creation of an ethical guide to volunteer support for professionals

  • The requests of the elderly and professionals concerning the missions of volunteers

Emotional life and sexuality

Gérond'if supports a multidisciplinary research project on the emotional life and sexuality of the elderly.
